Two separate incidents in Grimsby of a man (or possibly two) caught on separate private properties allegedly performing indecent acts have the Niagara Police searching for him/them.
On August 1 at 1:55 am, a woman left her home in the Orchard Parkway and Main St East area and noticed a man lying on her neighbour’s front lawn, who she believed was masturbating. When she yelled at the man, he got up and walked away towards Main St East.
In this case, the suspect is described as a white male, 40 years old, bald, 6-foot-2, and 190 pounds, wearing a grey sweater, black shorts with white stripes, and running shoes.
On August 2 at 1:05 am, another woman left her home in the McClay Ave and Central Ave area and found an unknown man sitting on her porch. When she told him to leave, he stood up wearing no pants. After putting on underwear, he then left on foot.
Police came to the house with the K9 Unit but couldn’t find the man, who is described as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, bald, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, wearing a dark t-shirt and dark knee-length shorts.
Police are leaning towards both incidents being the same man, despite the slight differences in their description. They are asking that anyone (residents or businesses) in either area with closed circuit security cameras, doorbell video cameras, or dash cameras review their footage for suspicious activity between the periods of:
- August 1, 2023 – between 12:30 am and 3 am
- August 2, 2023 – between midnight and 2 am
Anyone with information about either incident is asked to contact the investigating officer by calling 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009023.
