Niagara Police are hunting for a man after a woman was abducted and then sexually assaulted in Niagara Falls.
This morning (July 20) just past midnight, police responded to a call and found a female victim in her 20s. She was treated by Niagara EMS paramedics for non-life-threatening injuries and taken to a local hospital.
Their investigation that yesterday at about 7:30 pm, the victim was walking in the Drummond Road area near the Hwy 420 when she was approached on foot by an unknown man, who had been driving a pickup truck.
After a brief conversation, he forced her into the truck where she was taken to an unknown spot, possibly in the Chippawa area of Niagara Falls.
Being held against her will, she was both physically and sexually assaulted, suffering visible facial injuries. However, she was able to get away on foot.
She then waved down a passing male driver in a white pickup truck, who offered her assistance and drove her to the Frederica Street area in Niagara Falls where she contacted the police.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s with a muscular build, blond hair slicked back into a man-bun with green eyes, roughly 5-foot-11, clean shaven, wearing dark clothes including capri style pants.
Police also believe the suspect had come from a recently failed relationship with a different woman and are trying to identify the man, as well as the male motorist who helped the victim.
Anyone who may have information about this incident is being asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009167.
