Police release name of man found dead in Niagara Region

Police have released the name of a man found dead on a roadside in Niagara Region on the weekend.

The man was found on a grassy area in the Forkes Road and Highway 140 area of Port Colborne on Saturday afternoon, Niagara Regional Police said on Sunday.

Police have identified the man as 38-year-old Daniel Sanvido and said he was the victim of a homicide.

There was no further information provided. Police don’t believe there is a threat to the public at this time.
