Police searching for robbery suspect on the run in Fort Erie

A robbery investigation is underway after a store was recently robbed in Fort Erie.

Around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, a lone male suspect entered the Red Apple Bargain Store on Ridgeway Road at Rebstock Road.

Police say the male walked behind the counter in a threatening manner and demanded money from the register, obtained an undisclosed amount of cash, and then fled the scene.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’2” to 6’3”, with a slender build, wearing dark clothing, a dark baseball cap, a dark bandana or mask covering his face, and a backpack that appeared to be full of items.

Police believe he fled on a white bicycle southbound on Ridgeway Rd.
