Back in June, the Niagara Police Sexual Assault Unit launched an investigation into alleged sexual assaults that happened 16 and 30 years ago.

Two people, both under 18 years old, reported sexual assaults – one occurring in 1991, the other in 2005.

Today (September 8), police made an arrest in those cases.

Donald Pfielsticker, 60, of Port Colborne has been charged with four counts of sexual assault, three counts of sexual interference, two counts of invitation to sexual touching, two counts of sexual exploitation and one count of forcible confinement.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives have reason to believe that there may be more victims.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Matthew Catherwood with the Niagara Regional Police Service at 905-688-4111, ext. 1009399.
