If you plan on celebrating Canada Day in Niagara Falls, you should plan your route ahead of time, as some roads will be closed to accommodate the festivities.
Cliftonhill.com says the city and Niagara Parks will shut down some roads in the Queen Victoria Park area over the course of the long weekend.
On Saturday, July 1, and Sunday, July 2, the Niagara Parkway will be closed to vehicular traffic from Clifton Hill to Fraser Hill. The closure will be in effect by 8 p.m.
Clifton Hill will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 8 p.m. from Victoria Avenue to Falls Avenue, along with Murray Street from the Niagara Parkway to Warren Avenue.

According to the website, Murray Street will remain open from Warren Avenue to Fallsview Boulevard to allow access to businesses and properties in the area.
The Falls Parking Lot of Niagara Parks can still be accessed from the south.
Motorists can expect similar road closures during other summer long weekends, including the Civic Holiday weekend and Labour Day weekend.
The WEGO Green line will continue operating buses from Rapidsview to Table Rock Centre. WEGO riders should expect detours due to road closures.
Drivers will have access to a number of parking lots, including Niagara Parks’ Rapidsview Parking Lot ($10), which offers shuttle service to and from Table Rock Centre.
