Second man wanted in Niagara Falls convenience store robbery arrested by police

A man at large for his part in a two-man March convenience store robbery in Niagara Falls has been caught and charged by the Niagara Police.

Back on March 8, two men went into the Victoria & Maple Variety Store in Niagara Falls and started to steal items. When a female employee stepped in, they assaulted her.

She was taken to the hospital and threated for non life threatening injuries.

However, the police were able to identify the two suspect and quickly arrested one – Shawn Butler, 26, of no fixed address and charged him with robbery and failing to comply with probation.

The second man, Murray Nimmo, 33, of Niagara Falls remained at large until yesterday (July 13) when he was arrested by the police.

He was also charged him with robbery and failing to comply with probation. He was held in custody prior to a bail hearing today (July 14) at the courthouse in St. Catharines.
