Serious crash closes major road in St. Catharines

A serious crash has closed a major road in St. Catharines.

Emergency crews responded to the collision on Lake Street on Friday morning, Niagara Regional Police said.

As of 7:40 a.m., Lake Street was closed between Carlton Street and Dunlop Drive for the collision investigation.

Police said the road is expected to be closed for several hours.

Drivers should avoid the area and find alternate routes, police said.
