Shots fired outside house party in St. Catharines

Gunshots rang out following a noise complaint about a house party early this morning in St. Catharines.
Niagara Regional Police responded to the Port Weller neighbourhood shortly after 2 a.m. and spoke to the occupants inside of a house regarding the excessive noise.
At approximately 4:55 a.m., officers were called back to the area of St. Louis Place, Croydon Drive and Arthur Street after reports of shots fired.
Detectives say the initial investigation found that as several people left a house party, they got into different vehicles and fired multiple shots into the sky before fleeing the scene.
No injuries or damage has been reported as a result of the shooting, police say.
1 district detectives have taken charge of the investigation. They are being assisted by the NRPS Forensic Service Unit. Anyone with information or who may have been in the area is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009642.
Residents and business owners who may have been in the area with cell phones, closed circuit video recording or dash camera footage between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. this morning are asked to review their footage and contact police if they observe anything suspicious.
Individuals who were at the party and have photos or videos are also asked to contact detectives.
