It’s been a long time since St. Catharines saw a Shriners Grand Parade in the downtown.

In fact, the last time their Spring Ceremonial landed on the city’s street was nearly 40 years ago in 1983.

But they’re back as hundreds as Shrine Club members from both Canada and northern U.S. will be in Niagara this weekend for a spring convention.

Expect to see over 40 parade entries tomorrow (June 11) at 11 am. However since St. Paul St will be shut down to pedestrian traffic only, they’ll all be motoring along parallel King St.

For the parade route, the street closures start on Clark Street, to Church Street to Court Street to King Street and ends at Queen Street/Church Street.
