Speed limit set to drop on Niagara-on-the-Lake road

A significant speed limit change is on the way for a Niagara-on-the-Lake road.
In a post to X (formerly Twitter), representatives for the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake have indicated that starting on Oct. 1, the speed limit on East and West Line will be reduced will be reduced by a large margin.
Officials have indicated that the standard limit of 80 km/h will now be reduced to 70 km/h.
However, the 50 km/h school zone perimeter will remain in place.
Enforcement is set to begin immediately once the new speed limit signs have been installed.
