For a Friday night and a full-day Saturday, downtown St. Catharines will be dancing to the beat of a different drummer.

Joined by a new partner, local realtors Davids & DeLaat, the Downtown Block Party is back and ready to set the stage for a free, family-friendly music festival on the evening of July 14 and all day on July 15. (In previous years, it was a one-day event.)

“Taking place against the historic backdrop of scenic Downtown St. Catharines, enjoy multiple stages sending a spectrum of sound throughout the Downtown,” said organizers St. Catharines Downtown Association.

“Along with diverse music, expect vendor markets, family games, activities, and so much more while surrounded by the best dining and eclectic shopping experiences in the Niagara Region!”

There will be three separate stages – a James St. Stage, Queen St. Stage, and an East End Stage – so you can wander from band to band.

The Queen St. Stage will feature artists such as Years of the Modern, Neon Cowboy, Low Animal, Wolfgang, Heather Valley & The Current State, Sine Language, Brandon Agnew, and Laurel & Hulley.

Over at the James St. Stage, artists will include LMT Connection, St. Catharines’ own Jasmine Whyte, Tone Haughton, PK Hummingbird, Blackberry Jam, and Ol’ Child.

The line-up for the East End Stage is still to be announced but the whole line-up for the day is HERE.
