A St. Catharines healthcare worker just saw her bank account get a lot healthier with a lottery win.

Lea Miroy matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the Sept. 30 LOTTO 6/49 draw to win $100,000

Miroy says she is a regular lottery player but only plays LOTTO 6/49 and LOTTO MAX.

“I always say yes to ENCORE. This is my first big win,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her windfall.

Miroy was at home when she discovered her big win on the OLG app. “I saw all the zeroes and I had to bring my tablet right up to my eyes – I was so surprised,” she said. “I was shaking!”

She says she video-called her sister to show her the win. “She was very happy for me,” Miroy smiled. “I texted a screenshot to my daughter, and she asked me if it was real. I’ve never won anything like this. I’m so happy!”

“My brain is full of ideas on how to spend this money. I will take some time to figure out my next steps,” Miroy concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Linwell Variety on Grantham Avenue in St. Catharines.
