Police are investigating an overnight collision that caused serious injuries in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Around 12:35 a.m. today (Mar. 13), officers and emergency personnel responded to an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) rollover in the area of Garrison Village Drive and Village Road.
Police say a lone male was found pinned under an ATV in critical condition.
“The male was wearing a helmet but was suffering from life threatening injuries,” said police.
The male, identified as a 16-year-old from St. Catharines, was transported to a local hospital and later flown to an out of region hospital for further care.
The ATV, a yellow Suzuki King Quad 700, sustained “considerable damage.”
Roads in the area were reopened at approximately 6:30 a.m.
Police are asking anyone in the area with closed circuit security cameras, doorbell video cameras, or dash cameras to review their footage for the yellow ATV or any footage that may assist in the investigation.
Those with possible footage are asked to review recorded activity for the period between 11:30 p.m. and 12:35 a.m.
