St. Catharines woman charged with sexual trafficking of teenager

A St. Catharines woman has been charged following a Niagara Police investigation into human trafficking.

The investigation involved offences that took place in June, involving a woman in her late teens who is now in safe custody.

Yesterday (June 27), the police charged Tasha Lynn Summers, 38, of St. Catharines was charged with trafficking a persons under the age of 18, financial benefit from sexual trafficking, financial benefit from sexual services provided by a person under 18 and procuring a person under 18.

She was held in custody to appear at a video bail hearing today (June 28) at the courthouse in St. Catharines.
