Stabbing in Niagara Falls lead to the arrest of a 15-year-old suspect

Police response to the stabbing of two victims yesterday (September 11) in Niagara Falls has lead to the arrest of a 15-year-old minor.
At 6:30 pm yesterday, police and Niagara EMS were called to a home in the Simcoe Street and St. Lawrence Avenue area of the city where they found two 16-year-old victim, one suffering from major injuries, the other minor.
EMS treated them on the spot and then quickly transported both to a local hospital.
The investigation showed the more seriously injured teen tried to escape the suspect by running to his friend’s house on Simcoe St. However, the suspect caught up to him and assaulted him with the knife.
When the friend came out of the house, he, too, got slashed. Police say the victims and suspect were known to each other.
Last night at 8 pm, the suspect, a 15-year-old male was found at a home on Chrysler Street in Niagara Falls and arrested.
The suspect from Niagara Falls has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
He was held in custody for a video bail hearing at the courthouse in St. Catharines today.
