Suspects from Thorold and Lincoln facing charges in major drug investigation

Niagara police have arrested a Thorold man and Lincoln man as part of an ongoing drug investigation.
In March 2022, detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service and the Biker Enforcement Unit began investigating the distribution of illegal drugs throughout Niagara Region.
At approximately 4:00 am on Friday, Apr. 22, officers executed three search warrants in Niagara: One at a Thorold residence, one at a Lincoln residence, and one at the clubhouse of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club.
Police say the Thorold search resulted in the discovery of 152.8 grams of cocaine, $20,740 in currency and a knife that was a prohibited weapon, while the Lincoln search resulted in the discovery of a 7.4 grams of cocaine, $2,765 in currency, a conducted energy weapon, and two pairs of brass knuckles.
“The combined estimated street value of the drugs is $15,000,” said police.
40-year-old Donald Wonch of Thorold and 57-year-old Robert Nolin of Lincoln were arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance: Cocaine for Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000, contrary to Section 355(b) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of Prohibited Weapon, contrary to Section 92(2) of the Criminal Code
The investigation is ongoing.
