Travel trailer flips over on busy highway in Niagara-on-the-Lake

A flipped over travel trailer and shut down part of eastbound QEW for almost two hours Monday Morning (Sept. 9) in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Burlington OPP were on the scene of the incident which occurred on the Toronto-bound QEW just before Glendale Avenue at 11:45 a.m.

“A pickup truck was pulling a 35-foot travel trailer, which began to wobble and then flip over,” said Burlington OPP.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

No injuries were reported.

Emergency crews cleared the pick-up and travel trainer, which was blocking the middle lane, left lane and the side of the highway, leaving one lane open.

All lanes were cleared by 1:12 p.m.

Burlington OPP continues to investigate the crash and said no charges are anticipated.
