Two men rob and assault a St. Catharines e-bike rider in Thorold

A 20-year-old man from St. Catharines was robbed and assaulted as he was riding his e-bike through Thorold on May 30.
Police report that at 9 p.m., they responded to the robbery call on Summers Dr. near Confederation Ave. in Thorold.
They said that the victim was driving his e-bike on Summers Dr. at 8:50 pm when he blocked by a grey sedan angled across the middle of the street. Two suspects jumped out of the cars, one holding a handgun and demanded his wallet.
The victim gave them his wallet but they nonetheless started assaulting him for roughly half a minute. Niagara EMS quickly shuttled him to the hospital for facial injuries but he has been released and is recovering at home.
Police says Suspect One is a black male, 18 to 20 years old with a medium build, wearing a white t-shirt and shorts.
Suspect Two is a white male, 18 to 20 years old wearing a black balaclava and a blue hoodie.
The getaway car is a grey Hyundai, four-door sedan
