Two new Niagara Falls towers 2024

The famous Niagara Falls skyline may be in for some major changes, as two massive towers are potentially nudging their way into development. Pubic information provided by the city indicates that this new project would be, if approved, breaking ground on where the current Oakes Hotel is situated.

Currently, The Oakes Hotel overlooks both Horseshoe Falls and American Falls, making it an ideal destination for tourists on either side of the border looking to stay in the city. However, after a long history of renovations and reconstructions property developer Hennepin Realty Holdings has just proposed a new future for the location.

As indicated by city documents, potential development for the property would include two 58-storey towers accompanied by 1140 hotel suites, 126 dwelling units and a multipurpose space that has yet to be designated.

The official address — 6546 Fallsview Boulevard — is zoned as a tourist/commercial space, indicating potential commercial use within the building in the form of storefronts and restaurants.

Additionally, at the adjacent property of 6503-6519 Stanley Avenue, developers at Hennepin Realty Holdings are looking to construct a 7-storey parking garage for guests and residents of the 6546 Fallsview Towers.

Official renders of the property poise the project to eclipse all structures on the Canadian side of the falls. At the time of this report, official word has yet to be given on the progress of the project, however, a development meeting is scheduled for today (June 13).
