Two Niagara Region school boards have a total of 17 cases of COVID-19

The two school boards in the Niagara Region continue to deal with COVID-19 cases as they come into their schools but compared to other nearby regions, it seems, if nothing else, a little less dire.
The District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) presently has 11 cases of the virus and eight closed classrooms. However, five of those cases and three of those closed classrooms are located in one school – William E Brown.
Burleigh Hill has two cases and two closed classrooms while Harriet Tubman, Heximer Avenue and Simcoe Street all have one case each and one closed classroom apiece. Stamford Collegiate has one case but no closed classrooms.
Meanwhile, the Niagara Catholic District School Board (NCDSB) is recording six cases and just four closed classrooms.
Saint Michael Catholic High School, Lakeshore Catholic High School and Loretto Catholic Elementary School all have one case but no closed classrooms. Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Elementary School in Grimsby has one case with two closed classrooms.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Elementary School has two cases, resulting in two closed classrooms.
