Two people injured in St. Catharines stabbing

Police are investigating a stabbing that injured two people in St. Catharines on Saturday night (August 21).

Around 11:40 p.m., officers were called to a home in the area of Division Street and Gale Crescent, where they located a 36-year-old male with stab wounds.

“He was transported to a local hospital before being taken to an out-of-town hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries,” said police.

A 21-year-old male was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

There is currently no suspect description. Police believe this was a targeted incident with no known ongoing risk to public safety.
