While Niagara Police have yet to confirmed this, it is believed that the Boston Pizza located at 4950 Clifton Hill was the site of the multiple shooting in Niagara Falls this morning.

Niagara Police have confirmed one of the three victims in the Clifton Hill shooting at 12:30 am this morning (April 8) has died.

The two other victims have since been taken to out-of-town hospitals – one listed in critical conditions, the other in stable condition. All of the victims are believed to be in their teens.

While the police have not yet confirmed this, it is believed that it took place at the Boston Pizza located at 4950 Clifton Hill. One person who talked to an employee said no staffers were hurt or injured, suggested it was likely a targeted shooting rather than a random one.

Police believe the suspect fled in a blue Ford F-150 Super Crew four-door pick-up truck, saying one “was observed leaving the area at a high rate of speed.”

Witnesses said the truck “had dark tinted windows, a tri-fold tonneau cover, and a moonroof.” It also had visible damage, was missing both a door handle and the front licence plate.

The truck was last seen travelling west on Lundy’s Lane toward the area of Montrose Road and Highway 420 in the City of Niagara Falls.

As of 9 am, police still have the area cordoned off, though they added, ” At this stage of the investigation, there is no evidence to suggest an ongoing threat to public safety.”

The police are still on-scene along with the NRPS Forensic Services Unit and they are indicating that Clifton Hill is still “closed to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic and it is not expected to re-open for several hours.”

Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati spoke about the shooting at roughly 7 am and said, “I am saddened to learn of the tragic incident that took place in our City last night. We are comforted knowing our Niagara Police are investigating and our hearts go out to all involved, especially the victims and their families today.”

Police are asking anyone with information or may have been in the area with any dash-cam footage to contact the Homicide Unit at 905-688-4111, option 4, badge #9104.
