UPDATE: Search in Welland area for missing Port Colborne ATV driver

After requesting public assistance, Niagara regional police have found a Port Colborne man who had missing for three days.

The Niagara Regional Police Service said around 8:35 p.m. tonight that 38-year-old Christopher Airhardt “was located safe” on Tuesday evening. Airhardt had not been seen since driving away on his all-terrain vehicle two night ago in Welland, with intention of returning home.

“The NRPS would like to thank the public and media for their assistance in this matter,” a statement from the police said.

The police asked Monday for the public’s help in finding Airhardt, including a description of him, his clothing and the the ATV that he was operating.
