Onil Richard Labbe was arrested in Welland and is charged with break-and-enter after someone entered the bunkhouse of the Fenwick Berry Farm, at 1308 Balfour Street, at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Niagara Regional Police asked for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect and they immediately received information that led to an arrest.

An undisclosed amount of money was stolen from multiple rooms inside the berry farm, say police.

Labbe was released from custody on a promise to return for a future court date.
