Welland man facing sexual assault and voyeurism charges

Niagara police have charged a Welland man in connection with a series of alleged sexual and violent assaults involving a single victim.

Police say that on July 25, officers launched an investigation after a woman reported multiple physical and sexual assaults that occurred between Jan. 1 and July 19, 2023.

Police say the victim and the accused are known to each other.

On July 26, police arrested Mark Keating, 51. He has been charged with voyeurism, sexual assault, assault and assault with a weapon.

The accused was held in custody for a video bail hearing on July 27.

The charges have not been proven in court.
