Welland Transit is back to its full ride starting September 5, bringing back its every-30-minutes schedule.
“We’re excited to welcome you back to transit,” said Edward Zahra, transit manager.
“We’re ramping up services for riders and getting them back to a more regular, frequent schedule which will help them get back to enjoying the city and accessing important services.”
The upcoming service changes provide operations Monday to Friday from 6 am to 11 pm, Saturday from 6 am to 10 pm and Sunday and Holidays from 10 am to 6 pm.
Due to the pandemic, the transit service was offering only hourly service, a step up from none at all back in March to June 2020.
Residents can purchase passes and ride cards at the Downtown Terminal (160 East Main St., Welland) and Seaway Mall (800 Niagara St., Welland).
