A Welland truck driver probably had a sense something big was happening when he checked his INSTANT SCRABBLE ticket at a store and the terminal froze up.
Kenneth Stuart, who won $50,000, said at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, “I saw Big Winner appear and the terminal froze, and I thought I only won $25 but sure enough it was $50,000 and I was pretty shocked.”
“I went home right away to tell my wife. She was very excited,” Stuart smiled.
He plans to pay some bills and buy a new vehicle.
The winning ticket was purchased at Jerry’s Place on Southworth Street in Welland.
