Woman dies after vehicle flips on its roof in Niagara Region

A woman has died in a serious single-vehicle collision in Niagara Region.
Emergency crews responded to the crash on Forks Road, west of Morog Road, in the Township of Wainfleet, yesterday (Aug. 3) just after 4 p.m., Niagara Regional Police Service said in a press release.
A silver 2008 Dodge Caliber landed its roof in the ditch on the south side of Forks Road, police said.
Wainfleet Fire and Emergency Services firefighters were providing lifesaving measures to the woman, one of the three occupants inside the vehicle at the time of the collision.
Tragically, a 38-year-old woman from Wainfleet was pronounced dead at the scene.
Paramedics transported the other two people to an out-of-town hospital. They are both in stable condition at this time, police said.
Detectives assigned to the Niagara Regional Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating along with the Forensic Services Unit.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
