Woman stabbed multiple times in Niagara Falls

A woman remains in serious but stable condition after suffering from a stabbing attack in Niagara Falls early this morning (Sept 3).
Niagara Regional Police responded to the area of Eastwood Cres. and Ontario Ave. shortly before 4:30 a.m. after learning of a stabbing that had just occurred.
Paramedics with the Niagara Emergency Medical Service transported the female victim with multiple stab wounds to an out-of-town trauma centre for further care.
Police conducted an initial investigation and learned that the victim met the male suspect 20 minutes before the attack in the area of Falls Ave. and Clifton Hill.
The victim and the suspect are not known to each other. After meeting up, the pair left the area in the suspect’s vehicle.
The woman was stabbed a short time later near Eastwood Cres. and Ontario Ave. The man was reportedly driving a maroon or burgundy pickup truck.
The suspect is described as a white male, 40 years old, medium build, with brown hair and brown facial hair.
Police ask businesses with security cameras to review their footage that captures Falls Ave. near Clifton Hill. Residents in the area of Eastwood Cres. and Ontario Ave. with security cameras are also encouraged to review their footage for any suspicious activity.
