Woman struck and killed on the QEW in St. Catharines

Niagara OPP are looking for witnesses after a woman was hit and killed by a vehicle on the QEW last night (May 20).

The collision happened around 9 p.m. on the Fort Erie bound lanes of the QEW at Niagara Street.

The woman has not yet been identified but is described by police as having tanned skin and black hair and wearing black pants and a brown jacket.

A grey, 2013 Kia Optima was located on Niagara Street near the scene and is believed to be associated with the female.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to contact Niagara OPP at 905-356-1311.
